Texan born, Carroll Shelby (1923-2012) was a man of many talents with a deep love for performance cars. Shelby was an American automotive designer, race driver and entrepreneur. In the 1950’s he raced for Aston Martin and Maserati teams. He competed in Formula One. He co-drove an Aston-Martin DBR1 in the 24 Hours of Le Mans which raced to victory. Later in years he had successful career in developing performance cars for Ford, Dodge and Oldsmobile.
