Cher Concerts Benefit Nevada Public Radio

Cher Performs in Las Vegas

Turning back time

At 63 years old, Cher is still going strong and still has a face that defies gravity. But her freakishly youthful appearance seems to match her vigor well and makes her shows all the more interesting. Starting on May 6, 2008, Cher began her first of 200 concerts taking place at the Colosseum at Ceasar’s Palace. She performs numerous hits from her 43-year musical career, but also included is a visual extravaganza with 17 different costumes designed by Bob Mackey. And as it turns out, Cher is an avid supporter of Nevada Public Radio. Four hundred of the tickets for her December 8 and 9 concerts—200 tickets per show—will benefit Nevada Public Radio. Special ticket pricing is available to Nevada Public Radio members for $200 and listeners of 88.9 KNPR and Classical 89.7 can purchase tickets for $225. Also, tickets can only be purchased through www.knpr.org and www.classical897.org, or by calling (702) 258-9895. Those who aren’t involved with public radio in any capacity can still buy tickets to see any of her shows. Ticket prices vary from three figures to four and can be purchased at www.cherlasvegas.com.
