Bill Engvall at Treasure Island

Bill Engvall Las Vegas

Bill Engvall Las Vegas

Comedy with a twang

Before Bill Engvall become a comedic performer, he had planned to become a teacher. Obviously, he never did, choosing a career as a well paid comedic performer over that of an overworked teacher molding the minds of the youth of Galveston, Texas, his hometown. And now, Engvall is bringing his act to the Treasure Island Theatre on December 3-4 and 10-11 to amuse Las Vegas audiences with his country brand of humor. Since moving to Los Angeles, Engvall has been on a roll—in addition to his standup act, he has his own sitcom “The Bill Engvall Show.” Fans also know him from the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” featuring fellow redneck comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy. Engvall also hosts the “Country Fried Home Videos” show on CMT, which shows Americans from the Heartland, i.e. a show about rednecks being rednecks. Movies in which Engvall has starred include “Delta Farce,” “Bait Shop” with the mullet-sporting Billy Ray Cyrus and “The Blue Collar Comedy Tour, The Movie.” His comedy CDs “Here’s Your Sign,” “Dorkfish,” and “15° Off Cool,” all ranked No. 1 on the Billboard’s Comedy Chart. Ticket prices are $49 and $65, plus tax and service charges, and can be purchased online at Treasure Island’s Website or by calling the box office at (800) 288-7206.
