John Mayer will perform at Mandalay Bay

Singer/songwriter and contentious blogger, John Mayer, is on the road again with his “Battle Studies” tour, which includes special guests Michael Franti and Spearhead. The seven-time Grammy Award winner’s hit albums include “Room for Squares” and “Heavier Things”—“Battle Studies” is his fourth album and debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart when it was released. Genres he’s experimented with over the course of his career include acoustic guitar and blues, both of which have influenced the pop music for which he’s famous. Some of the more renowned blues artists with whom he’s collaborated include B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton. And even though Mayer’s musical acumen is what continues to bring him fame, he also dabbles in stand-up comedy, writing and high-profile romantic relationships with the likes of such hotties as Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.
